One year after the start of the Russian war, on the streets to defend Ukraine and Europe

At 4:07 a.m. on February 24, 2022, Ukraine's dawn was scarred by the first Russian missiles on the cities of Kyiv and Karhiv. Exactly one year later, we gathered in the square at that very hour to reaffirm our solidarity with Ukraine, because by launching the attack at dawn, Putin showed from the very beginning what the essence of his war was: terrorism on civilians, the will to annihilate a free people and nation by terrorizing its population.

Finding ourselves on the streets in many Italian cities with many other associations in the mobilization promoted together with Free, Beyond Illusionswe wanted to say publicly and loudly that we stand by all Ukrainian women and men who are heroically fighting for democracy and freedom, and we will not be intimidated. We will not be terrorized by a criminal state and dictator, and we will support Ukraine to the end in this war that can only end with the withdrawal of Russian troops and the restoration of international law.

In the face of bombs on civilians, massacres, torture, deportations, not only acts of war but acts of inhumanity and violation of international conventions, in this dawn more than ever we wanted to witness our support by all means to the Ukrainian people, well aware that it is European freedoms along with Ukrainian freedoms that are threatened by the Russian regime. And we ask our representatives to continue and strengthen their support for Ukraine.

We reaffirm our determination and conviction that Ukraine must win and that Ukraine will win.
