EuropaNow! organized the street distribution of green lights and European flags because "the defense of the rights and dignity of the person after the tragedies of the 20th century are at the foundation of the European Union and no policy can justify people dying at our borders."
In Rome, the first event was in Largo Argentina on Friday, December 17.
Then two more garrisons, also in the capital, on Dec. 18 in Via Appia and Dec. 23 in Piazza del Popolo in front of Father Ceriani's Santa Maria dei miracoli church.
